Our mission:

Christina Morales Hemenway has always had a dream to make entertaining, enlightening and emotionally uplifting films. Recently she moved back to Ann Arbor, after living in Los Angeles for 17 years, where she worked as a writer and director in the independent film community.  

In Ann Arbor she formed a partnership with local entrepreneurs, Roger Newton and Matt Turner, who were tired of seeing traditional formula Hollywood movies—gratuitous sex and violence and the mandatory car chase to produce the feature film Dreammaker.

Dreammaker is about dramedy about a psychic who manipulates her Hollywood clients. It has won either the Audience Choice Award or Best Feature Film in every festival in which it has been shown. It has enjoyed enthusianstic audiences in Los Angeles, Chicago, Loiseville, Ann Arbor and Rome, Italy.

Dancingstar Productions, LLC's next production is NAKED ANGEL and Christina is looking forward to shooting it in her home town of Ann Arbor. The company is structured so investors can buy shares at a low cost and become a part of a production that utilizes talent and locations from both Ann Arbor and Los Angeles for a home grown feel with high production value.

Our Production Team:

As Christina’s producing partner, he keeps busy scheduling, proofreading, and submitting to actors and agencies. He lives in Los Angels and has produced for commercials, webisode series, TV pilots, shorts and feature films and also works as an assistant director, actor and a script supervisor.

Keith Jefferies- Dir. of Photography/Editor

For six years, Keith worked as a director at the BBC on the corporation's flagship international news channel BBC world plus digital children’s channels and interactive programming. In addition, he directed a number of film dramas with Ascalon Films. He is skilled in camera operation, lighting, graphic design and editing, both tape-based and digital non-linear.

Keith is a full member of the Directors Guild of Great Britain and the Guild of Television Cameramen. As well as heading up Ascalon Films, Keith is also Resident Filmmaker at the Michigan Theater.

Location Manager:

Brent Hemenway has worked on numerous feature films around the world including Cutthroat Island in Malta, DayBreak in Italy and Apocalypse Now in the Phillipeans.

Casting Director:

Kathrine McKee has worked on films such as Hardball with Keanu Reeves and 8 mile with Eminiem.
