OUR MISSION

 Christina Morales Hemenway founded Dancingstar in 1992, upon graduating from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), with the mission of creating enlightening and uplifting films. At DANCINGSTAR, we have a more holistic approach to filmmaking than the traditional Hollywood system. With Dancingstar, one may enter Dancingstar Creative Academy as a student, and then through hands-on training with Dancingstar Productions, work their way to being a Producer that earns an income from teaching online with Dancingstar. They will also have the opportunity to be represented by Dancingstar Marketing, and to showcase their projects with Dancingstar Distribution

Christina Morales Hemenway-- Writer/Director/Producer of “Dreammaker”, “Angel Moon" and "Bride+1" Christina attended CalArts and graduated with a BFA in Theater. Her feature film "Dreammaker" has won awards in every festival in which it has played. Her next film, "Angel Moon," won 6 awards from the Stauros Inspirational Film Festival, including Best Story and Best Direction. Her last film, "Bride+1," premiered at the world-famous TCL Mann's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. and is currently playing nationwide. She is excited to release her fifth feature film entitled: GET REAL!
 


Roger Newton, Ph.D.-- One of the Executive producers of “Dreammaker”, “Angel Moon" and "Bride+1", Dr. Newton has almost 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. He is currently President and CEO of Esperion Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company founded in and located in Ann Arbor, MI. As a distinguished scientist and Chairman of the Atherosclerosis Drug Discovery Team, he co-discovered and was the product champion of what is now the most prescribed cholesterol-reducing drug in the world, atorvastatin (Lipitor®). He is committed to bringing inspirational films to the world.
                       
Andrew L. Wolf (Andy Wolf) – Andy trained at Northwestern University, lives in Los Angeles, and has produced many commercials, webisodes, off-Broadway plays, musicals, TV pilots, and shorts, as well as Dancingstar Productions’ award-winning features “Dreammaker”, “Angel Moon" and "Bride+1". He always strives to make the collaborative vision come together.  Andy works on projects he believes in, with people he enjoys being around, and respects.  He brings the film in on budget without compromising on the quality of the finished product.  

 


 

Keith Jefferies - Cinematographer. Keith shot Dancingstar's feature film,  ANGEL MOON. In addition, he has directed a number of films and is skilled in camera operation, lighting, graphic design, as well as editing. Jefferies’ 826 Michigan video was recognized locally and regionally before winning in the national contest. His piece was one of more than 60,000 entries nationwide. Keith is a full member of the Directors Guild of Great Britain and the Guild of Television Cameramen.

Elisa Guyton - 20+ years of versatile, reliable, and efficient experience supporting fast-paced organizations have shaped Elisa into a lean problem solver and idea scout, adept at developing, inspiring teams, and bringing concepts to life. Her skills in marketing, event planning, project management, and client relations enable her to deliver results that exceed expectations. With a keen eye for marketing and branding, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a mastery of communication, she designs and executes programs that equip colleagues and drive success. She and Christina created the Fund Your Film program.

Ryan Savek- Sales and Marketing professional located in our Los Angeles Office with skills in marketing, management, and brand creation. His sales experience in financial services coupled with creative intuition and self-driven motives produce his holistic approach of being and doing more.  His goal is to elevate his own state of being to the highest potential while simultaneously raising those around him. Currently, he is the sales rep for Presence Coaching Group.

Eze Enriquez - A very focused and outgoing Art Director, filmmaker, editor, and producer. Eze's passion for the entertainment field surpasses his passion for anything else in this world. He is always looking for new opportunities that can take him around the world. GET REAL is his first feature with Dancingstar Productions as Director of Photography.

Adam Wilkinson - An award-winning audio engineer, videographer, and educator.  Adam's experience spans back to the mid-90s. Starting as a recording and mixing engineer, he leveraged his experience playing in bands to live sound at the legendary club Blind Pig. While studying Digital Video Production he set his sights on a new medium, visual storytelling. Combining these two talents, he quickly became sought after in Production and Post-Production sound for Television and Film. He is also an Adjunct Instructor in the Digital Media Arts Dept. at Washtenaw Community College and was location sound for GET REAL.

Karen Tuttle - Karen works to help small businesses improve their online and offline marketing presence. Her 10+ years of experience managing websites, creating graphic design, and social media strategy/content gives her clients the edge needed to stand out from the crowd.  She also is an aspiring actress, has a cameo in Dancingstars' latest feature film Tommy Hollywood & Katie Encino, Move to the Midwest to GET REAL  as well as creating the graphics the the end credits for the movie

Krystin Railing- Coaches performers on how to be successful in the business of show business. She is best known as the founder of "The Performers' Guide" where she teaches about audience building, branding, marketing, and legal protection.  For Dancingstar, she teaches creative success strategies for the Dancingstar Teacher's Training Program. She is also a hula hoop performer extraordinaire.

JD Scott - An Ann Arbor, MI-based photographer who loves to provide dynamic images with an emphasis on style and expression. With a background in acting, as well as movie and television production, making ideas come to life and storytelling have always been of interest to me. Since 2013, JD has put his intention towards expressing these ideas through photography. He specializes in portrait photography. He regularly photographs events, college sports as well as commercial imaging including the poster for GET REAL. He enjoys providing a sense of drama and play to his images.

Rebecca Rowe - A community-engaged self-starter, visual artist, and marketing maestro. She was in charge of redesigning the BRIDE+1 movie poster and has a cameo in Dancingstars' latest feature film Tommy Hollywood and Katie Encino Move to the Midwest to GET REALShe connects ideas to people one stellar design at a time.
